Setup and configure of Web Servers. Audit Web Severs

Student Network Registration System (NetReg)

Support of IITS and N&PS web sites. Support of PeopleSoft delivered Portal functionality. Learn and support the Fall 2004 Student Portal with focus on campus community

Campus Webmaster. Support Official Campus Web pages & Department/Office web pages. Support Portal pagelets including the Campus Event Calendar, the OWA pagelet & the WebDav pagelet.

Support web-related applications Exchange, T ED E-Portfolio, Library proxy server, LDAP applications, GIS?. Assist C&MS in supporting open source software and support Linux applications – wiki, listserver, surveys.

Develop and maintain tools and utlities for web authoring including web hosting, server-side scripting, frontpage, HTML, java, ASP .NET, and others

Determine best design for University web pages. Monitor advances in web technology and implement when appropriate. Provide leadership in the implementing the Web technical environment including Portal applications, ASP.Net, IIS 6, virtual directories.

Manage the upgrade of Official Campus Web pages and develop a schedule for implementation to be complete by Sept 2005: purchase server, define upgrade schedule, define technical standards.

Lead IITS web team.

Remain current in knowledge of web trends and technology. Facilitate Portal development with focus on campus community.
