I hold a B.A in English and journalism, as well as an M.F.A. in creative writing. Duluth, Minnesota is my hometown. Activities I enjoy include biking, hiking, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, canoeing, camping, and wandering in the woods with my dogs. Oh, and reading and writing (when I sit down). Concerning writing, I am interested in poetry and creative nonfiction (personal essays). Some of my favorite famous writers are Terry Tempest Williams, Mary Oliver, Carolyn Forche, Annie Dillard, Margaret Atwood, John Muir, John McPhee, Michael Pollan, Bill McKibben, Sherman Alexie, and many, many more.
