Eunseok Lee is the winner of this year's UW-Superior Liberal Arts Essay Competition for his essay titled "Learning Lessons from Failure."
Lee is a sophomore from South Korea who is majoring in speech communication and business administration with a concentration in marketing.
Lee will receive a $500 scholarship from the UW-Superior Foundation. His faculty sponsor is Allen Shepard, senior lecturer in the Writing and Library Science Department. Both will be recognized at the Campus Celebration of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity later this spring.
Lee's essay will now be forwarded as an entry in the UW System Liberal Arts Essay Competition, where it will be in the running for an additional $2,000 scholarship.
