University Theatre, UW-Superior:
"SUDS, the Rocking 60's Musical Soap Opera"
Directed by Liz Larson
Suicide by laundry, guardian angels and rocking 60's music!
Auditions: Wednesday, Feb. 10 and Thursday, Feb. 11, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m., Manion Theatre, Holden Fine Arts Center
Auditioners are asked to prepare 20 bars of a song that shows their "pop" style singing and personality and also demonstrate short sight reading in harmony, simple choreography combination and a short improv "interview." There will be readings at callbacks, if needed. Auditioners should be at Manion Theatre at 7:00 p.m., unless previously arranged with director Liz Larson.
Performances: April 15, 16, 22 and 23 at 7:30 p.m.; April 17 and 24 at 2:00 p.m.
Tickets: $12 for adults; $10 for seniors and non-UW-Superior students; and $2 for UW-Superior students; $6 group rate for 10 or more; and $6 for youth 12 and under.
Tickets may be purchased at the Box Office in Holden Fine and Applied Arts Center, and reservations can be made at 715-394-8380.

"You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown", by Clark Gesner, based on the characters by Charles M. Schulz

This 1999 musical is based on the beloved Peanuts characters created by Minnesota artist Charles Schulz. All your favorite characters are here to share in an "average day" in the life of Charlie Brown.

"Boy Gets Girl", by Rebecca Gilman
Directed by Kelly Mullan
What happens when a blind date turns into a nightmare? Boy Gets Girl attempts to answer that question. After Theresa rejects Tony he begins to stalk her. The story revolves around ideas of sexism, romance and extreme stalking and follows the effects that stalking can have on the victim and those around her.

Douglas County Historical Society
"Hardball" by Michael Bettencourt, Robert E. Ozasky and Dean Kaner
Directed by: Kathy Laakson
"Hardball" is based on a real story about Henry Kaner, a pitching sensation for a semi-pro baseball team in Superior, Wisconsin. He is offered a contract by the St. Louis Browns, but Hank has to make a decision. Baseball is often played on Saturday's…..which is the Jewish Sabbath.
Auditions: Saturday, July 11, 11AM-2 PM, July 13, 6PM - 8 PM
Performances: Sept. 10, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20. Sunday, Sept. 13 and 20-matinee.
