"The Underpants" 

play by Carl Stenheim, adaptation by Steve Martin 

Directed by Cathy A. Fank Underpants

Dusseldorf, 1910: an ambitious amalgam of comic book and social commentary, made out of sex jokes, slamming doors and sophisticated repartee….laugh-out-loud-funny. Contains adult content.

Auditions: Monday, Sept. 21 and Tuesday, Sept. 22, 7-9 PM, Experimental Theatre, Holden Fine Arts Center, UWS 

Performances: Nov. 13, 14, 20 and 21 at 7:30 p.m.; November 15 and 22 at 2:00 p.m. 

Tickets: $12 for adults; $10 for seniors and non-UW-Superior students; and $2 for UW-Superior students; $6 group rate for 10 or more; and $6 for youth 12 and under.

Tickets may be purchased at the Box Office in Holden Fine and Applied Arts Center, and reservations can be made at 715-394-8380.

Northland Theatre Source

University Theatre at UW-Superior, Rubber Chicken Theatre, CSS Theatre, Wise Fool Shakespeare theatre, Douglas County Historical Society, Superior High School and Sterling Silver Dance Studio are working together to create a local theatre web site (Northland Theatre Source). This web site will post auditions, schedules of productions and open technical positions available at our theatres. Likewise, we will post each other's information on our respective web sites. Stay tuned for more information about the web site as it is developed.

Originally written and performed sketch comedy that pokes fun at items in the news over the past year-locally, regionally and nationally-as well as some general silliness.

College of St. Scholastica 

"You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown", by Clark Gesner, based on the characters by Charles M. Schulz 

Directed by Merry Renn Vaughan 

This 1999 musical is based on the beloved Peanuts characters created by Minnesota artist Charles Schulz. All your favorite characters are here to share in an "average day" in the life of Charlie Brown.

"Trust" by Steven Dietz 

Directed by Tammy Ostrander 

This is a special showcase production done every year featuring different offerings.

"Boy Gets Girl", by Rebecca Gilman 

Directed by Kelly Mullan 

What happens when a blind date turns into a nightmare? Boy Gets Girl attempts to answer that question. After Theresa rejects Tony he begins to stalk her. The story revolves around ideas of sexism, romance and extreme stalking and follows the effects that stalking can have on the victim and those around her.

"A Christmas Carol"

Douglas County Historical Society 

"Hardball" by Michael Bettencourt, Robert E. Ozasky and Dean Kaner 

Directed by: Kathy Laakson 

"Hardball" is based on a real story about Henry Kaner, a pitching sensation for a semi-pro baseball team in Superior, Wisconsin. He is offered a contract by the St. Louis Browns, but Hank has to make a decision. Baseball is often played on Saturday's…..which is the Jewish Sabbath. 

Auditions: Saturday, July 11, 11AM-2 PM, July 13, 6PM - 8 PM 

Performances: Sept. 10, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20. Sunday, Sept. 13 and 20-matinee.
