When it came time for Megan Hoel to choose where she would attend college, the decision came down to location.
"I grew up in Duluth and wanted to remain in the area for college," said Megan.
Residing only minutes from Duluth, UW-Superior won out thanks to a variety of reasons.
"I chose to go to UW-Superior for the smaller class sizes and the programs offered," said Megan.
As a student, Megan had access to a variety of ways to help her succeed.
"UW-Superior provides students with a lot of resources, such as the math lab," she said. "My friends and I utilized the Math Lab almost daily. We never felt bad about asking for help when we needed it. The faculty were also approachable with any questions or for advice."
After graduating with a bachelor's degree, Megan chose to continue her education, but was thankful for what her time at UW-Superior helped her accomplish.
"UW-Superior helpted to prepare me for the master's program in biomedical sciences at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and in my medical school career there," she said.
After medical school, Megan completed her residency training in Eau Claire, Wis., and soon joined the St. Luke's Mariner Clinic practic as a family physician.
"I couldn't be happier," she said.
