Crystal Jarve Loree

You aren’t pressured immediately to decide what you want to do, and you’re given opportunity to explore.

ON THE TWIN PORTS AREA

Crystal loves the outdoors, and as an active biker and runner, being in the beautiful Twin Ports is a huge bonus. She also went rock climbing. It was something that she never thought she would do prior to coming to the Twin Ports Area, and she loved it. “I’m so glad I came to school here,” she said.

ON CAMPUS

Crystal decided to attend UW-Superior because she’d heard that it has a great Elementary Education program. However, after she got here, she changed her major to Accounting and Finance. She was an officer in the Financial Management Association and also worked in the Foundation Office. One of her professors actually recommended her for the position, which shows how the UW-Superior faculty really are invested and want their students to succeed.

ADVICE TO FRESHMEN

Her advice to future students is simple: get involved. “It’s definitely a good school. You aren’t pressured immediately to decide what you want to do, and you’re given opportunity to explore. Get involved. I have been given more opportunities by being involved than not being involved.” After graduation, she plans on attending graduate school for accounting.
