The professional society has a code of ethics, hosts seminars, workshops and forums, awards scholarships, and publishes the "Transportation Journal TM".The Society also selects an individual for the Outstanding Transportation/Logistics Executive in North America Award of Excellence.  There are 4 chapters of the AST&L located throughout North America with student chapters at several universities.
