Nathan J. Ness has been organizing since 2000. His organizing includes work with Poetry Harbor, Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Community Action Duluth, Move to Amend, and MN ASAP. His volunteer organizing focuses on fighting against copper-nickel (sulfide) mining. Nathan's organizing style is influenced by Saul Alinsky.

Topic- "Effective vs. Ineffective Organizing. There are three questions one should ask of a grassroots political campaign before getting involved. Nathan will distinguish between grassroots campaigns intended to make participants feel good about themselves and those designed to win.
