DEPARTMENT: Natural Sciences Department
UW-Superior offers two options related to the field of geology.
First, our earth science minor provides an introduction to the areas of geology, environmental geology, surficial processes and hydrology. Classes in chemistry, ecology and geographic information systems supplement these courses for completion of the minor. This minor is attractive for students interested in areas such as hydrogeology and environmental remediation.
Second, we offer a water resource management minor that enables students to study one year at Vermilion Community College in Ely, Minn., then complete their studies at UW-Superior. This is an excellent opportunity to combine a major in biology or chemistry with this 22-credit minor that includes courses on geology, chemistry and biology.
* Are programs where you can also earn certification to teach at the K-12, elementary or middle/high school levels.
