Mathematics has long been regarded as science in its purest form. As the foundation for all applied sciences, business, economics, and computer programming, mathematics serves as the cornerstone for our changing society.
The concepts and applications of computation, cryptography, abstract algebra, and mathematical proofs will engage and challenge your mind and critical thinking skills, stretching your understanding of formal mathematics.
Math Middle/High School Education
A Math Middle/High School Education major or minor leads to grades 4-12 licensure in the State of Wisconsin and would allow one to teach math classes like geometry, algebra 1 & 2, calculus and other math courses. Certification for licensure requires completion of the Instruction minor or required teacher certification coursework and student teaching in the middle and/or high school.
