SPOTLIGHTS

  • As someone who grew up in a small town, going to a school like UW-Superior and studying music is a dream for me. I am thankful that I have received scholarships from kind donors who believe in me. Read more.
  • I have been studying voice privately for eight years now, and I think I made more progress with the UW-Superior Music faculty in just two semesters than I had in my previous seven years. I am so proud of how far I have come and I am so excited to keep working next year. I wouldn’t be able to do any of this without the generosity that has been shown to me through Foundation scholarships. Music and singing are my passion, and I will not forget that the reason I am even able to attend this amazing school and pursue that passion is because of your generosity. Thank you Foundation donors.
  • Class of: 2021
Doing my show for 91 Jazz Street has been an amazing experience! I started doing my show in the summer of 2017 because a friend of mine told me it would be a great way to explore jazz. Even though I was reluctant at first, I found that being an on-air DJ was very enjoyable and enlightening. Before I worked at the station, I didn't listen often to jazz. Now, I absolutely adore jazz and feel comfortable playing it in on-campus ensembles. Read more.
  • As a native Superiorite, I've always appreciated UW-Superior, and I started my time on campus by taking piano and violin lessons for as long as I can remember. I've always known this was the right place for me. Having such wonderful support through scholarships from generous donors has been crucial for me. If it weren't for the peace of mind the support brings, I don't think I could have done as well. Thank you for your support!
  • Scholarship support is of great assistance to my studies. It allows me to focus more on learning and to continue developing my studies in piano performance. Your gifts are truly appreciated. I hope one day I will be able to help others achieve their goals just as you are helping me. Thank you for your thoughtful and generous gifts.
