Teacher Education - Middle and High School
UW-Superior has more than 100 years of experience in training teachers. Our Teacher Education Program enjoys an excellent reputation for quality and innovation. Our graduates are highly regarded by their employers, and many have won teaching awards at the district, state and national levels.
UW-Superior's Teacher Education Program offers a secondary education program that prepares students to be certified to teach middle school and high school in a variety of subjects.
Secondary education certification students complete a program of study that includes coursework in the academic subject they wish to teach as well as a set of Teacher Education courses to gain classroom skills and experiences.
They also complete a selection of professional education courses to gain classroom skills and experience. Students can earn a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science, depending on the requirements of individual majors.
This program is accredited by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
