Adult, Military and Veteran Students

UW-Superior understands that pursuing higher education can be critical in making that next career step or starting in a new field. We also know that it can be challenging for adult and military learners to return to college or begin your educational journey. That is why we strive to make your transition to student as easy as possible so you can focus on your education.

Admissions Support for Veterans

If a student is applying for veterans benefits they must be admitted first to the University and meet the University and UW-System admissions requirements. This may include all official transcripts for high school and/or college/university. More information can be found here: https://www.uwsuper.edu/vnsc/vets/index.cfm. For support through the admission and enrollment process, veterans who decide to use the Military Tuition Assistance (TA) program are directed to meet with the University’s certifying official in the VNSC (Veterans Nontraditional Student Center) and speak with their Educational Services Officer or counselor within their Military Service branch prior to completing their enrollment for their first semester.

The University focuses on supporting students who are veterans and refrains from high-pressure recruitment tactics for the purpose of enrolling service members.   The University follows NACAC guidelines related to recruitment and does not provide any incentives to any person or entity involved in student recruiting, admissions activities, or decisions related to student financial assistance.
