Following his career as an all-conference member of the Yellowjacket football team, Jones embarked on a coaching career that spanned nearly three decades. Jones coached football, basketball, baseball, golf, and served as a strength coach at multiple high schools in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area. Arguably Jones left his biggest mark in the coaching of adaptive bowling, where he led Simley High School to multiple team, individual, and doubles state championships. Mr. Jones passed away in November 2016.
