Vance Mattson

Vance Mattson arrived at [NAME:SCHOOLNAME] in 1991, part of a group of forwards that put up dazzling offensive numbers and would soon make the program's first trip to the NCAA Frozen Four. Halfway through his career, head coach Steve Nelson moved Mattson to defense, and all the Calgary, Alberta native did was become a force on the blue line, earning All-NCHA honors and being chosen as an All-American in 1995. He was also named the WIAC Scholar Athlete of the Year as a senior.  Mattson’s accomplishments include:

  • UW-Superior Career Totals: 126 games, 79 points
