Kang feels as though her time at UW-Superior helped her come out of her shell, something that is vital in order to be successful in the human services and social welfare field. Doing public presentations and research were big milestones for her.
ON THE AREA
Her came to UW-Superior to pursue a career in human services and social welfare. She loves Lake Superior, but that's not the only thing that drew her here. The sense of community was also a big factor.
"I like the small campus and class sizes, the community feel, being acknowledged and not invisible," she says. "My professors helped me by giving moral support. They have an open door policy, and I feel comfortable dropping in to say 'Hi'." She was also involved with loads of on campus activities, organizations and jobs.
