UW-Superior Student Learning Goals

Undergraduate

The UW-Superior Student Learning Goals were launched in Fall 2015. They are the result of an integration of several sets of previously used outcomes, including the Liberal Education Learning Goals, the UW System Shared Goals, Student Life Goals and others. They are meant to represent learning in Academics and Student Life at UW-Superior The goals are captured in three major categories: Communication, Individual and Social Responsibility, and Creative and Critical Thinking. Outcomes follow within each category suited to the many disciplines represented on campus.

Assessment Materials

Rubrics: Beginning in Spring 2020, academic programs should use the AAC&U VALUE Rubrics to rate student work in majors and minors at the gateway and senior capstone levels. Find all 13 VALUE rubrics here.

Assessment Plan Template: Please use the attached Assessment Plan Template to discuss as a program the courses and projects at both the gateway and senior capstone levels you will assess. Assessment Report Template: Please use the attached Assessment Report Template to report the ratings of the students’ work and your program’s reflections and plans to close the assessment loop. Graduate

The graduate programs on campus also share a set of Graduate Learning Goals appropriate to the Masters level. They were created and implemented in Fall 2016.
