New! Community Engaged Learning (CEL) Community of Practice (CoP) - also to be known as the CEL-CoP

In collaboration with the Markwood Center for Learning, Innovation and Collaboration, we invite you to join your colleagues and Link Center staff (Emily Groves, Community Engagement Coordinator and Katelyn Baumann, Academic Service-Learning Coordinator) to dialogue around Community Engaged Learning.

This is a Room & Zoom Event.

Community of Practice Goals

  • Understand the inner workings of Academic Service-Learning and Internships, including best practices, benefits, assessment, and impact.
  • Build peer-to-peer connections to improve community engaged learning.

Series Dates/Details:

  • September 15, 2021 - A Introduction into Community Engaged Learning (CEL). Highlighting Best Practices and Standards for Quality Practice with Academic Service-Learning and Internships.
  • October 20, 2021- Communicating Course Outcomes. A collaborative session with Heather Rickerl form Career Services on resources/strategies to identify ways students can understand and communicate CEL course outcomes in their resumes, cover letters, in job interviews, etc.
  • November 17, 2021 - Telling our Story. A discussion on UW-Superior’s impact through assessment and data.
  • December 15, 2021– Community Sharing & Reflection. An opportunity to share and reflect on Fall 2021’s successes and challenges.
