Fifty Years on the Moon Celebration

SATURDAY, JULY 20, 2019, 1 - 3 PM

The Transportation and Logistics Management Major and Research Center is presenting a free educational event for children Pre-K through 5th grade* in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing.

Join us for a variety of fun hands-on activities, including:

  • Educational and interactive exhibits
  • UWS Observatory tours with up-close views of the sun and moon (Optional: come back between 10 p.m. and midnight for a rare opportunity to view Jupiter, Saturn and the moon.)
  • Take a 'walk on the moon' in an indoor bouncy house
  • Rockets, drones and robots
  • Coloring contest with a chance to win a $50 gift card to Planet 3 Extreme Air Park in Duluth
  • Film footage of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing
  • Space-theme arts, crafts and activities

and much more!

*Children must be accompanied by an adult.
