Isolation & Loneliness and the Impact of COVID-19

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 10, 2021, 9 AM - 12 PM

This workshop will explore isolation and loneliness through the lens of COVID-19 and the new opportunities and challenges it presents for older adults and those working with them. Review the latest national reports and emerging initiatives to identify and address older adult loneliness, develop strategies to optimize social supports and reduce social isolation (even amidst a pandemic), and review the complex interactions of social isolation with health. We will work together to answer the question, "What can I do to effectively address social isolation among older adults in my community?”

This is a virtual event.
