Organizational Leadership | Building Trust

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 9, 2022, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Location: Yellowjacket Union Room 203

Trust is fragile—it is easily broken and is difficult to regain. Trying to lead a team without trust is like driving a car without fuel. Leaders and teams that have trust produce more efficient interactions, display high levels of innovation, and deliver quality results. Without trust, communication falters, productivity drops, and turnover increases.

In this session we will define trust and distrust and discuss implications of both in the workplace. Participants will learn about behaviors that build trust and examine the strength of their own trust behaviors. We will take a deep dive into areas where leaders often break trust and learn how you can avoid some of the common pitfalls. Finally, ways to rebuild trust will be explored.

At the end of this session, participants will walk away with actionable steps they can immediately use to strengthen and/or rebuild trust in the workplace. 3/9
