PERMANENT Model of Well-Being Seminars for UWS Students

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2020, 1 - 2 PM

LOCATION: These seminars will be held virtually via Zoom and are open to all UWS students. Invite your professors, advisors, and coaches if you'd like!

Join the Student Health and Counseling Services Center's Kevin Lynch (and guests) for these weekly seminars to learn more about the Pruitt Center's PERMANENT Model for Well-Being.These workshops are designed to provide students with the opportunity to learn, experience, and reflect on science-based well-being skills to help improve participants' overall physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Present Moment Awareness: Mindfulness 101, tools to help you reduce stress, anxiety, and depressive mood states

Emotional Intelligence: Emotional regulation, savoring, positive experiences, gratitude

Relationships: Positive relationship skills and healthy communication

Meaning: Utilizing strengths and finding your calling in life

Achievement: Setting goals, reframing failures, and growth mindset

Needed Sleep: Sleep hygiene, sleep routine, healthy sleep tips

Exercise: Learn mindful movements and experience yoga

Nutrition: Food and mood

Thinking: CBT skills - Cognitive restructuring, reframing, and positive self-talk
