Resiliency, Positive Psychology, and Post-Traumatic Growth

THURSDAY, MAY 21, 2020, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Location: Yellowjacket Union Great Room A

The life well-lived is periodically a life of tumult or unexpected strain or loss at both work and at home. Yet the keys exist to unlock the doors of our own resiliency, and that of the teams we work with and for - keys that enable us to strengthen our strengths, learn to fail well, create moments of engagement and uplift and direct our energies toward that which is life-sustaining. Through post-traumatic growth perspectives we expand, even in times of great stress, a deeper sense of meaning, authenticity and efficacy. Here we explore insights from the fields of positive psychology, appreciative inquiry and mind/body medicine to assist each of us and our work groups to move through the stressors of our days centered in our capacities.
