Stargazing Event

Location: Swenson Hall 1012

Join us for a FREE stargazing party with special guest Jim Lattis.

Lattis is the director of UW Space Place and faculty associate in the Department of Astronomy at UW-Madison. A historian of astronomy, Lattis has years of experience teaching astronomy collegiately and for the public and teaches a course in the history of astronomy and cosmology. His historical interests and publications include astronomy in the age of Galileo as well as the history of astronomy in Wisconsin.


8 - 9 p.m. — Swenson Hall 1012: Presentation on constellations in the current night sky

9 p.m. — Greenspace near Barstow Hall: Stargazing with a telescope and UWS Observatory

The presentation will occur rain or shine. The viewing will be weather dependent.
