Campus Recreation provides wellness and learning opportunities through group fitness classes.
The Campus Recreation Group Fitness program focuses on offering groups of 2-20 people a variety of fitness programs that focus on different levels and styles for the UWS campus and community. Current classes include Yoga, Pilates, Kickboxing, Step, Belly Fit, Toning, Aqua, and more.
Incorporating Group Fitness into your wellness routine is something that compliments many portions of the Wellness Wheel
by targeting Physical Wellness, Social Wellness, and sometimes even Spiritual Wellness. Students often use these opportunities to push themselves outside their comfort zone by trying new classes.
For the Student Staff who instruct classes, the development that they receive is priceless. All classes are taught by current UWS students who are seeking, or hold, a Fitness Certification with a professional organization. The instructors gaining practical experience and are participating in a learning laboratory right here on campus.
