Events and Programming

Throughout the academic year Career Services hosts events to assist students in a wide variety of career/job related skills development.

Please consider adding one of the following Career Services Event experiences as a requirement or assignment in your class. We can work with you to be sure students attend with sign in sheets!

Career Treks

When: Wednesdays at 12pm

What: Career Treks are a collaboration of all 13 UW System schools offering all students across the UW System a chance to connect with employers in a virtual setting. Click HERE to view the featured employers for fall 2021.

'Jacket Fest

When: September 20 & 21 | 11am-1pm | Yellowjacket Union Plaza (rainsite: Yellowjacket Union Great Room)

  • September 20: Student Organizations and Campus Department Resource Fair
  • September 21: Off-Campus Employers and Community Partners

What: Partnering with Student Involvement, Career Services offers this Student Involvement and Part-Time Job Fair early in the fall semester to get students connected on and off campus. This event features student organizations, campus departments, off-campus employers and community partners. This fair is fun atmosphere and students will have many opportunities to connect to the campus and local community.

Employer Registration: Register for 'Jacket Fest via Handshake. Registration open through September 15 at 5pm.

Business, Humanities, & Communication Career Fair

When: October 7 | 10am-2pm | via Handshake, and March 3 | 10am - 2pm | TBD

What: UW-Superior Career Services partners with the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) and College of St. Scholastica (CSS) to host the Business, Humanities & Communication Career Fair (formerly known as the Head of the Lakes). Each year the fall fair is hosted by UMD and the spring fair is hosted by UW-Superior. There, younger students can network, look for internships, meet employers, and observe their career field, while older students can also network, apply for positions, and set up interviews with potential employers.

Employer Registration: Register for the fall fair via Handshake. Registration open through October 1, 2021 at 5pm. 

UW-System Graduate School Fair

When: November 4 | 10am-1pm | via Handshake

What: Largest UW System wide graduate school event. All UW System students and majors are welcome to attend! The Virtual Graduate School Fair is an excellent way for students to network with representatives from a variety of organizations. Students benefit from attending by gathering information about a variety of graduate schools and continuing education career opportunities.

School Registration: Register to recruit UW System students via Handshake. Registration open through October 28, 2021 at 5pm.
