Kelsie Murchy, a Biology major, here at UW-Superior, who has received an internship position for the Summer of 2011 researching bottlenose dolphins and other marine animals in Key Largo, Florida. A position she learned about while searching the internet for possible internships in the marine biology field.

Kelsie believes she owes her success to her great friends and family who have supported her through the entire application process and who also gave her the confidence she needed to succeed.

Kelsie also thanks UW-Superior Career Services for helping her make her resume and giving her some tips and ideas to make her stand out among the other interviewees.

Kelsie has learned that having a good resume and letters of recommendation from her profesors and employers can definitely make a difference when applying for internships and that there are tons of possibilities, you just have to know where to find them.

Kelsie also gave a lot of praise to the University and its professors saying, "UW-Superior has given me a well rounded education and has offered me classes that most schools in the area don't, particularly Marine Biology."

When asked about advice to give to other students Kelsie said, "If someone tells you your dreams are unobtainable or that it will be too hard to achieve don't give up. Anything is possible if you work for it."

Congratulations, Kelsie!
