Special Education Minor Without Certification Top of Page

This minor prepares students to be highly qualified inclusion teachers but it is not a licensable minor at the undergraduate level. This minor also provides students the opportunity to take courses in the field of special education at the undergraduate level to find out whether it is an area in which they might want to gain certification later.  There is an option for continuing in special education in a post baccalaureate program, in master's level classes, that leads to special education licensure prior to the completion of a Master's Degree, pending approval of the Department of Public Instruction.
