Strategic Revenue Development and Fundraising (2 days)
a) Developing your Revenue Model
Instructor: Dr. Reid A. Zimmerman

This session will provide the information and help necessary to develop a solid business and revenue plan for your organization by investigating the Mission / Margin Matrix; considering revenue diversity, earned income, social enterprise, UBIT, and PILOT. It will also provide an understanding of why people give, using your Program Logic as a means of generating revenue, and ethical issues in fundraising and working with donors.

b) Developing your Case for Support
Instructor:
Dr. Reid A. Zimmerman

Your organization's case for support forms the skeleton of all fundraising and marketing for your organization including grant proposals, direct mail, brochures and more. This seminar will look at researching the need and developing written text that provides logical and emotionally based motives for giving. It will also consider program evaluation and reporting on outcomes and impact as a component of that case for support and the motivations for giving.

Developing Philanthropic Support (2 days)
a) Grant Writing and Solicitation
Instructor: Kathryn Jensen

From research to stewardship, this session will cover all the aspects of seeking corporate, foundation and government (CFG) grants that can be covered in a day. Discussion will include researching CFG opportunities, approaching funders, writing (based on your Case for Support in the earlier session) and submitting the proposal, reporting to your donor and stewardship or follow-up with your funder.

b) The Tactics and Management of Individual Fundraising
Instructor: Catherine Carter Huber

Developing support from Individuals is critical to a nonprofit. This session will cover identifying prospective donors and using research data and databases.
Fundraising tactics:
mail, phone, web, social media, estate and legacy gifts, capital campaigns, endowments and fundraising and/or friend-raising events will be discussed. Managing cost-to-raise-a-dollar (CRD) and other fundraising management techniques will be covered as well as the importance of donor stewardship.

Fees: If enrolled in Certificate, each two-day class (12 hours) is $238; if taking courses "stand-alone" (not enrolled in Certificate), each two-day class (12 hours) is $278. The total cost for all the courses, if enrolled for the Certificate, is $501. That includes all courses for $476 plus $25 for transcript fee.
