The purpose of this workshop is to orient and navigate the landscape of Human Resource Management (HRM).  Participants will gain a practical understanding of core HRM functions and learn how these functions are related to business growth and success.  Participants will explore the challenges contemporary organizations face as they seek to get the best from their most valuable resource – employees. Human Resource professionals at all levels will discover ways they can add value to their organizations and the Human Resource profession.  

Participants will be able to:
  • Outline the key elements needed for successful HR operations
  • Apply the basics of the profession to their specific work environment with practical action steps
  • Help your organization leverage a sustainable competitive advantage through people
  • Access relevant resources to maintain knowledge in this rapidly changing field
  • Develop a professional network for consultation
This is a required workshop in the Human Resource Management Certificate Program.
