Communities of Practice

CETL is pleased to continue our Communities of Practice (CoP). CoPs bring us together as colleagues and companions to learn together. They are defined as people who are “engaged in a process of collective learning in a shared domain of human endeavor”.

Our CoPs are opportunities to share concepts and ideas, and to develop relationships that support us and change our campus over time. If you have not participated previously, we welcome you!

We currently have three Communities of Practice actively meeting:

  • Well-being: Research and Practice meets on the 4th Wednesday of the month from noon-12:50 p.m. in CETL - Swenson 2074. Our co-facilitators for this year are Randy Barker and Mimi Rappley-Larson.
  • Global Awareness and Inclusivity meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month from noon-12:50 p.m. in CETL – Swenson 2074. Our co-facilitators for this year are Lynn Amerman Goerdt and Jerel Benton. The group is reading “White Like Me” – please contact Lynn or Jerel for more information.
  • Community of Practice for Instruction meets on the 2nd Monday of the month from 11:00 a.m.-noon in CETL – Swenson 2074. Our facilitator is Rebecca Graetz.
