Feel the holiday spirit when you experience the Christmas season in London, a world within a city. Explore London’s colorful Christmas markets, beautifully decorated department stores, and bustling streets. See the festive lights adorning Buckingham Palace and explore the majesty of Westminster Abbey. Visit the historic university town of Oxford decked out in holiday splendor. Travel to magnificent Blenheim Palace, which features an incomparable display at Christmastime. Feel the holiday warmth at one of London’s finest theatres. Enjoy afternoon tea in charming Covent Garden. Discover the colorful history and regal pageantry only found “across the pond.”

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Overnight flight to London.

Day 2: Welcome to London at Christmastime, a metropolis filled with light, laughter, and the excitement of the holiday season. Whether perusing the city’s many Christmas markets for handmade gifts and colorful decorations or basking in the scent of mulled wine and cinnamon, this will surely be a Christmas you’ll never forget. Join your fellow travelers for a welcome dinner.

Day 3: Join a local expert on a panoramic city tour. See Trafalgar Square, St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Tower of London, and Buckingham Palace. At Westminster, see the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and Big Ben. A Christmastime visit to London wouldn’t be complete without a stop at Harrods, the city’s most iconic department store. Find yourself exploring a wonderland of glorious holiday displays and its incredible food hall – a piece of gourmet heaven! This afternoon, you may choose an optional excursion to Windsor Castle, home to Britain’s Kings and Queens for nine centuries. Make your way through the impressive State Apartments, adorned for the season with an array of festive decorations.

Day 4: Set off to explore London’s charming Christmas markets. Peruse the sea of wooden chalets offering a plethora of unique crafts, artisan goods and local treats. You’ll also take in Bond and Oxford streets, known worldwide for their elegant department stores, posh galleries, and some of the most stunning Christmas decorations in the city. In Covent Garden, enjoy a traditional English tea complete with delicious finger sandwiches and homemade pastries. Later, take in one of London’s finest theatre performances.

Day 5: This morning, travel to the historic city of Oxford, home to the prestigious University of Oxford. Enjoy a leisurely walk to admire the iconic architecture followed by an exploration of the quaint shops filled with handmade crafts and local treats. The festivities continue with a visit to Blenheim Palace, one of England’s most magnificent homes, which shines even brighter at Christmas. The birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, this UNESCO World Heritage site will give you a glimpse into the life of English royalty.

Day 6: Hop on London’s famous Underground, known to locals as “the Tube.” Opened in 1863, this engineering marvel was the world’s first metro system. Travel to Westminster Abbey, the towering Gothic church that has been home to royal coronations and weddings. Take in a guided tour of this historic building before enjoying an afternoon at your leisure to explore the city. Tonight, enjoy a farewell dinner in a traditional English pub, and toast the end of a wonderful tour.

Day 7: Return home with incredible memories of London during the holidays.
