I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes – Adolphus Hailstork
Join us for an unforgettable Chorfest as we perform Adolphus Hailstork’s I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes, a work of beauty, strength, and hope. Hailstork, one of America’s most distinguished composers, is celebrated worldwide for his ability to weave together the traditions of classical, spiritual, and contemporary music into something deeply moving and profoundly human. His works have been performed by major symphonies and professional choirs throughout the world. Under the direction of Dr. Michael Fuchs and accompanied by a chamber orchestra, students will have the opportunity to experience the music of one of our greatest living composers. The Chorfest Honor Choir will also perform Mendelssohn’s masterpiece, There Shall a Star From Jacob Come Forth. Please contact Dr. Michael Fuchs with any questions or for additional information.
Registration begins at 8:30 AM with the first rehearsal beginning at 9:00 AM. The rehearsal day concludes at 5:00 PM and the performance is at 7:00 PM.
