Professional Background

Amy completed her BS Degree at the University of MN – Duluth in Elementary Education. She taught at the elementary level for 8 years from 1991-1999. In 1999 Amy enrolled at UWS in the Educational Administration-Principalship Graduate Program. She earned her Masters of Science in Education Degree in 2005. Amy was an elementary school principal for 15 years. Education is one of Amy’s deepest passions so when the opportunity arose to apply for a position in UWS’s Teacher Education Program and work with future teachers, she jumped on it. Amy was hired in 2013 as the Teacher Education Field Experience Coordinator and Academic Advisor. It is one of Amy’s greatest honors to journey with students through their program at UWS and to work with educators and schools all over the states of WI and MN.
