Danielle loves to garden, hike, explore, listen to podcasts, watch bad TV with her husband, enjoy her two little kids, and do puzzles. She is also a member of the Soka Gakkai International-USA Buddhist Organization and actively participates in activities to positively transform herself and society.

Professional Background

Danielle received her Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of St. Thomas and her Master of Arts in Sociology from Ohio University. Her thesis research focused on abused women in rural Appalachia.

Research Interests

Her ongoing academic interests include media and crime, transformative justice, juvenile justice, mass incarceration, and reentry.
