Deborah Rausch, horn instructor at University of Wisconsin-Superior (UWS) is an active free-lance musician and recitalist in the Duluth-Superior area.  She most recently performed with the University Festival Orchestra, the North Shore Philharmonic, the Northern Lights Festival Orchestra, and the Itasca Symphony Orchestra.  Ms. Rausch regularly substitutes for the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra and the Lake Superior Chamber Orchestra. In addition, she has performed with the Bemidji, Chequamegon and Springfield Symphony Orchestras.  Ms. Rausch actively participates in chamber ensembles and has performed with the UWS Faculty Brass Quintet, the Superior Brass, the University of Minnesota-Duluth Brass Quintet, and the Twin Ports Wind Orchestra.  She also performs with several area collegiate orchestras and wind ensembles.  Ms. Rausch actively performs in the community as a recitalist and recently appeared as a soloist with the Duluth Symphonic Winds.

Ms. Rausch received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Wittenberg University, and a M.S. and Ph.D. (ABD) in Geology from the University of Minnesota.  Her horn coaches include Richard Chenoweth, David Moltz (in Germany), James Pospisil, and Herbert Winslow.
