About 

Deb enjoys spending time with her family and friends and traveling. Her interests include reading, jogging, camping, and cooking. She does volunteer work with the Fox Valley Literacy Council and with visiting home-bound seniors.

Professional Background

Dr. Deborah Watry has been involved in higher education as a professor in education since 2009. Prior to that, she was involved in education in several areas: high school English teacher, director of instruction, building principal, and district administrator, and school board member. All these experiences have benefited Dr. Watry in working with students, educational colleagues, and other administrators.  Her experience at the university (Marian University in Fond du Lac, WI and UW-Superior) has included face-to-face instruction, hybrid course delivery, and online course instruction. At the university level, Dr. Watry has served as a department chair for teacher education, taught a variety of undergraduate courses, worked to develop a masters online graduate program for special education, taught a variety of master-level and doctorate courses, and worked with master and doctorate students on their master thesis and doctoral dissertations.
