She received her B.A. from Northern Michigan University and her M.A. and Ph.D. from Purdue University. She has essays in Re-viewing Thomas Holcroft; the Adam Smith Review; and Big Picture Pedagogy. Hilary Fezzey's research in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century British literature examines prose representations of the abolition movement, the emerging working classes, and neurodiversity from the perspectives of cultural studies and gender studies. She also conducts scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) about fostering critical thinking and global awareness in the general education literature classroom through strategies such as invented dialogues and literary mapping.
