Kimberlie Rose Dillon, Senior Lecturer of Oboe and English Horn at the University of Wisconsin-Superior, grew up in a musical family in her hometown of Preston, Minnesota. She received her Bachelor of Music degree in Oboe Performance from the University of Minnesota Duluth, where she studied with Laurie Van Brunt and graduated summa cum laude with departmental honors. She received her Master of Music degree in Oboe Performance from Baylor University, where she studied with Dr. Doris DeLoach, and was inducted to the Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society. Kimberlie also acquired a Teaching Certificate in Higher Education while at Baylor and and completed her Standard Teaching Certification in Early Childhood-Grade 12 Music at McLennan Community College (Waco, TX) while teaching preschool-sixth grade general music.

Kimberlie now serves as a free-lance musician, private lesson instructor, and reed maker in the Twin Ports. She has performed with the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra (DSSO), Lake Superior Chamber Orchestra (LSCO), Itasca Symphony Orchestra, Mesabi Symphony Orchestra, and as a soloist with the Duluth Symphonic Winds. She is also a member of the UWS faculty woodwind quintet and Zenith Winds. A lifelong learner, she currently studies oboe and English horn with Julie Gramolini Williams of the Minnesota Orchestra.
