Mike grew up in South Australia and has lived, studied, and worked in various parts of Australia as well as two South Pacific nations. He enjoys traveling and working in different places to experience diverse cultures. 

Professional Background

Mike Bartlett is a first-generation university graduate who believes strongly in helping all students gain access to a university education to achieve their high education goals. Mike is an educator who first worked in the secondary education field for 12 years before enrolling in graduate school at the University of Newcastle, Australia. Mike has worked in four countries including two South Pacific Island countries developing Math and NS curriculum aimed at enabling students from these nations to prepare for entrance to university. Mike also worked in several colleges in Australia before taking a visiting professor position at Walla Walla University, WA in 2000. Other positions held include Assistant Professor (2002) - UW Colleges  Associate Professor (2007) - UW Colleges Associate Dean of Academic Affairs (2013) - UW Colleges Online Dean (2015) - UW Colleges Online As Dean, Mike led the development of UW Colleges Online in becoming a fully online campus.

Awards & Honors

2010, UW Colleges, Arthur M. Kaplan Award for outstanding contributions made to education as a UW Colleges faculty member.
