1975-80 NOVOSIBIRSK ELECTRIC ENGINEERING INSTITUTE, Novosibirsk, USSR. Department of Engineering Physics. M.S. in Physical Electronics and Lasers. (Diploma with honors, 1980)

Laser spectroscopy, kinetic phenomena in gases, polymer thermodynamics, biofuels; chemistry and physics pedagogy.
