Academic background:

Dr. Rebecca Graetz received her BS in Business Administration and MBA in Knowledge Management from Walden University, and her EdD in Higher and Post-Secondary Education from Argosy University. Her dissertation research focuses on accessibility of videos in online learning. 

Research interests:

In addition to working closely with Universal Design for Learning and accessibility in distance education, Dr. Graetz also is an ally for the LGBTQIA community designing a MOOC on social awareness for the Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming community internationally.

Non-academic background:

Rebecca, along with her friend Chue T. Vang, founded Hmong American Education Fund (HAEF) which grants scholarships to the Hmong community throughout the United States. Giving back to the community is important especially for those pursuing a degree to further career opportunities. An avid knitter with fine fiber, Rebecca always has multiple projects on needles often times knitting while thinking through complex instructional design problems. She has an active family (with two amazing grandchildren) and loves to be outside in the Twin Ports area walking the Lake Walk and drinking coffee at the many coffee shops in the area.
