U.S.News Ranking - One of the best in the Nation!

Earlier this week, we received news that our center has been ranked one of the best in the nation!

The recognition comes from U.S. News and World Report's "Best Online Education Program Rankings" for 2014. Our center ranked ninth for online bachelor's programs in the country and is the top-ranked campus in the UW System for online degrees.

This award is truly a credit and accomplishment to all of our students, faculty, and staff who are dedicated to pursuing and promoting quality education.

Preview Week

Be sure to check out and login to D2L to preview your courses for spring semester. You may notice a few changes and upgrades to D2L as well. A few small tweaks to the layout are now in placed to provide a better user-friendly experience.

Preview week starts Tuesday, January 14th!

Academic Attendance

If you are on financial aid, the term has begun, and you are going to drop a course, be sure to participate before dropping. Getting financial aid for an online class, and dropping without participating, is like getting financial aid for on-campus course and never attending. The Financial Aid Office determines the appropriate aid adjustment based on whether or not a student attended the class.

For Financial Aid purposes, attendance includes:

  • Physically attending class
  • Submitting an academic assignment
  • Completing an exam, interactive tutorial, or computer-assisted instruction
  • Participating in online discussion about academic matters
  • Initiating contact with the instructor to ask a question about the academic subject

It does not include:

  • Logging into an online course without active participation
  • Getting academic counseling

If classes have started, and you're on financial aid, participate in your course(s) before dropping!
