How to Apply for Admission

Step 1:

If you are seeking a degree, complete the Application for Admission online at http://apply.wisconsin.eduIMPORTANT: Be sure to select "Complete an undergraduate degree through the Distance Learning Center." If you don't make this selection, you will not be contacted by the Distance Learning Center for advisement and enrollment.

Request copies of your transcripts from all other institutions you have attended. If you have not completed a degree since high school, your high school transcript will be required. Have transcripts sent directly to the Admissions Office, UW-Superior, PO Box 2000, Superior WI 54880. Our Transferring Courses page will assist you with this process.

If you are enrolling for a certificate/certification or taking just one or two courses, apply at and select "Visitor/guest student for undergraduate level Distance Learning courses."

Step 2:

Wait for a letter of acceptance from the University. IMPORTANT: when you receive your letter, be sure it states you are admitted through the Distance Learning Center. If your letter does not say this, please call us immediately at 877-528-6597 .

Step 3:

Contact your advisor to arrange a time for the enrollment conference.

Complete an enrollment conference with your assigned advisor. Your advisor will tell you about the registration period for the next term.

Register for coursework online via your E-Hive account.

Step 4:

Order your texts directly from the Bookstore or other textbook vendor. You may do this online.

Step 5:

Log into Learn@UW-Superior, using the link at the bottom of any university webpage or directly at You'll begin to see your online courses during Preview Week, which begins one week before the start of each term.  Begin your learning experience!
