Account Activation/Password Assistance Form

A form is available to allow new and existing users of the E-Hive and other systems like e-mail, Learn@UWSuperior and the University network, to activate their accounts or reset their password if they should forget their password or  get locked out of the system. The form is available from links on the E-Hive help pages or from the E-Hive login page. Below are the step-by-step instructions for completing the form. The most current instructions are found in the narrative at the top of the form.

Step-by Step Instructions:

The following step-by-step instructions describe the process to follow to activate your account or to create a new password for your existing account if you account is locked establish your password or to if you forget your password or need to unlock your account.

  1. Go to the UW-Superior Home page at www.uwsuper.edu. from any browser
  2. In the bottom right hand corner of the page click the My E-Hive logo.
  3. Click on the Account and Password Assistance link on the sign-In page.

  1. Enter all of the information on the Account Activation and Password Assistance form. The information entered must match exactly the data stored in your official records, so if you go by Jim but your name for records purposes is James, be sure to enter James in the first name field.
    1. First Name = The first name as it appears on your official records (examples might be "James" not "Jim" or "Elizabeth" not "Beth")
    2. Last Name = Your Last Name
    3. Date of Birth = Formatted month/day/year (e.g. 07/13/1961)
    4. Last 4 digits Social Security Number = Enter only the last 4 digits
    5. 7 Digit Student ID = Your Student Id number is located on your acceptance letter. It is also the bolded number on your Campus ID card
    6. UWS User ID (e.g. JDOE) = This is typically the first letter of your first name and some characters of your last name. It is also the first part of your e-mail address before the @ symbol
    7. New Password = Choose a password that is between 7 and 15 characters long. It must contain at least one UPPER case character, one lower case character and number
    8. Confirm Password = Must match exactly with what was typed in the New Password field.

Password Reset Form

  1. Click the Submit Form button. If you have completed the form successfully you will be asked to logout them back into the system with your new password. If you are unable to log back in contact the technology help-desk locally at 394-8300, toll free at 1-800-806-2890 or by e-mail at helpdesk@uwsuper.edu .

Remember when you change your password in the E-Hive, all other campus passwords are changed at the same time including e-mail, network login and your Learn@UW-Superior account.
