The stores department is responsible for shipping and receiving packages and supplies according to established guidelines. This department works with others to facilitate the return of damaged/duplicate goods and supplies. Departments should use the Duplicate/Damaged Returned Goods Authorization form when returning items. This form serves as a record for tracking returned goods.
Central Stores coordinates deliveries of packages with the mailroom staff and very large and heavy items with the grounds department.
Stores also maintains the paper goods inventory which includes assorted copy papers, letterhead and various envelopes and mailers.
Central Stores maintains a file of past and present MSDS sheets for products they stock.
