Mission

University of Wisconsin-Superior’s First Nations Center serves as a gathering place and resource center for intercultural learning, exchange, and support, with an emphasis around First Nations and Indigenous lifeways and experiences. The center, which is a part of the Department of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), provides opportunities for all people to engage in an inclusive environment which fosters visibility, awareness and leadership through an Indigenous lens.

Vision

We strive to be a center for academic and cultural excellence, equipping students with a knowledge of indigenous language, culture, and self while preparing them to carry this knowledge forward into future generations. We also strive to be a place where students find support, a second family, and resources they need to be successful.
