Download ICal File/Import into Outlook for this Event Historical Trauma Event and Spirit Pole Ceremony

When: Apr 24, 2017 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM

Location: Yellowjacket Union - Great Room

On Monday, April 24th, 2017 the First Nations Center, First Nations Program, and Native Nations Student Organization is hosting a Spirit Pole Ceremony starting at 4:30 p.m. outside of the Yellowjacket Union, and then will move into the Yellowjacket Union - Great Room for refreshments and begin an evening dedicated to learning about the historical trauma that Natives face.

This event will deal with serious issues, but anyone is welcome to attend and learn of Native history and issues that we continue to face in society. We will have student and staff presentations and an interactive "Turtle Island" activity for participants to learn hands on about our history. This is a wonderful opportunity for our campus and community to join together. Please come with an open mind and respect. Miigwech.
