Mission and Vision
The Gender Equity Resource Center is dedicated to fostering an inclusive campus climate where brave spaces exist throughout campus and all genders and sexual identities (LGBTQ+) are valued.
Our vision is to be a model program that educates campus members about the intersectionality of gender and sexuality with other cultures by continuously engaging in dialogue with students, staff, faculty, alumni, and the broader community.
The Mission and Vision is realized by implementing and providing programs that promotes an environment which values diversity and multiplicity. These programs include:
- Student Success Initiatives: encourages well-being and personal development, provides resources, and empowers students to have a successful college experience
- Cultural Education: increases knowledge about gender and sexuality equity topics and encourages the community to actively advocate for equity
- Cultural Engagement: creates inviting events and spaces where all genders and sexualities connect
