Volunteers needed for Speak Out Superior (SOS)

Posted on Feb 14, 2014

Would you like to be a part of the planning team for Speak Out Superior?

Speak out Superior (SOS) is an event, which takes place during Sexual Assault Awareness Month (April), that calls on Northwestern Wisconsin residents to rise up and speak out against sexual violence in our community. In the past, this has included: a march from UW-Superior to the Douglas County Courthouse, music, food, and speakers.

Tasks and duties associated with planning SOS include: marketing, publicity, donations, tabling, contacting potential speakers, hanging posters, making signs for the March, and designing flyers & t-shirts.

To sign up (by Friday, Feb 21) and/or get more information contact Rebecca at genderequity@uwsuper.edu or visit the Gender Equity Resource Center in Swenson 1031. Sponsored by Gender Equity, www.uwsuper.edu/genderequity and the Center Against Sexual and Domestic Abuse (CASDA).
